Photos of your child
We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.
Watching class and belt tests
Parents are welcome to watch kids' classes from the bench by the window. On the day of a belt test we ask watchers to stay quiet and keep phones on silent, with no flash.
What to wear and bring
A plain t-shirt and loose trousers for a first class. No jewelry, hair tied back, and everyone trains barefoot on the mat. A uniform and belt come with joining.
When to keep your child home
Please keep a student home with a fever, a stomach bug or anything that spreads, and until they have been well for a full day. Let the front desk know and we will help with a make-up class.
Drop-off and pickup
Each child is signed in and out at the door. We release children only to a parent or an adult on the pickup list, and we ask for ID the first time. Children wait at the bench until that adult arrives.
Late pickup
If you are running late, call the front desk. Your child stays at the bench with an instructor until you arrive, and we ask families to be on time so classes can end together.
Closures for weather and holidays
We close for school holidays and for weather that closes local roads. We post closures on our social pages and text the families on the class list the same morning.
Leaving the program
Enrollment runs month to month. Tell us in writing at least 30 days before you stop; the month in progress is billed as usual.
Screens and phones
Phones stay on silent during class. Filming a class is for the instructor to allow, and we ask families not to photograph other people's children.
Questions before you come?
Call or write and the front desk will answer, or try a class and ask in person.
