How tuition works

Our figures are on the enrollment page and we go over them with you at the first class. Here is how each part works.

  • What sets tuition

Tuition depends on the student's age group, how many classes a week they attend and whether they join the after-school lane. The figures are on the enrollment page, and we go over them with you at the first class.

    • Age group

    • Classes a week

    • After-school lane or evening classes

  • Registration

Joining covers your first uniform, a belt and the enrollment file. It is due when you enroll, and the enrollment page lists it.

  • Holding a place

A place in a class is held once you finish enrolling. When a class is full we keep a waiting list and call families in order when a place opens. Kids' classes have up to 12 students, teen and adult classes up to 16.

  • Billing

Tuition is billed monthly by autopay. The next billing date shows on the enrollment page, and we send a reminder before it changes.

  • Siblings

A second student in the same family is handled differently from the first. We explain how at the first class, because it depends on who trains and when.

  • Withdrawing

Enrollment runs month to month. To stop, tell us in writing at least 30 days ahead; the month in progress is billed as usual. You can pause for illness, travel or a busy season: ask us how.

    • Month to month

    • Written notice, 30 days ahead

    • Pauses by arrangement

  • Missed classes and make-ups

A missed class can be made up in another group at the same level during the same session. Ask at the front desk and we will find a time.

  • Uniforms, gear and other items

Belt tests, summer weeks and sparring gear are listed separately on the enrollment page, each with its own purpose.

    • Belt tests

    • Summer weeks

    • Sparring gear

Ask us at a class

The easiest way to see how it fits your family is to come to a class and talk to the front desk.
